First Haircut

I gave Link his first haircut today. I was a little nervous trying to figure out how I’d keep his attention during the procedure. So I decided to give him a cookie. Not a baby cookie, a grown-up cookie. He loved it and it kept him pretty well occupied.

I trimmed around his ears, (you’ll see the left ear didn’t go so well) across the back, and then evened out the top. I was a bit sad to see his baby locks go, but it was time. And as my dad would say “the difference between a good haircut and a bad one is 2 weeks.” So hopefully all the unevenness (especially around that left ear) will even out soon!

Don’t you think he looks a little more grown up now!

I remember feeling that way with Jacob’s first haircut and then even with Ella’s horrible rat tail… Though it is sad to see that baby hair go, it’s nice to see just a little bit more of that sweet little face! Lincoln, sweetheart, you just get cuter every day!

That unevenness and the fear of poking them, keeps me using the clippers! The first hair cut seriously ages Link by a few months! See ya tonight!

Don’t feel bad about the uneveness. I do hair, and Nathan’s cuts are rarely perfect- I think it is impossible to cut little boy’s hair perfectly. He is so cute no one will notice the cut.

Way to go Michelle! I cut Drew’s hair every two weeks, but I don’t know if I could brave doing Isabelle’s. She still hasn’t had a hair cut, but I guess it is different for girls. Yeah for giving it a try, and I think it turned out great. P.S. Is he seriously in size THREE diapers? Isabelle wears size 3 still…although, the next pack I will buy will probably be size 4.

It looks great! He’s a cutie!

He looks way more grown up. It’s kinda sad. I can’t believe our babies are almost one. :(
Um…what kind of cookie is that? A “Canon” cookie???
