Where have all the good posts gone?

Yup, I’ve slacked, major. Isn’t it funny that you have the most to blog about when you’re too busy to blog about it?

Lately I’ve been asking myself, “where have all the good posts gone?” My blog has turned into a photo gallery. Not that I don’t like showing off how adorable my little man is, but I know I’ve bored you to tears. I’ve fallen into a trap of telling myself that as long as I get the pictures up, thats good enough. The thing is, I’ve noticed other bloggers slacking lately too (obviously not you). My question is, has blogging become outdated already? Has the world of blog posts been replaced by Facebook and Twitter?

Before the kid, I was basically addicted to blogging. I loved leaving comments, and people actually commented on my blog too.  But the fact is, I’ve become lazy. It’s just easier to read and move on without giving feedback. And I don’t blame you for not commenting on my posts, I’ve given you nothing of interest to comment about. I mean, how many times can you  say, “oh Link sure is growing up.” BORING! So I apologize.

I miss the days of blog conversation. I feel this is being lost as I use my blog more and more as a scrapbook. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, I’m gonna try to write more thoughtful posts in addition to posting endearing pictures of Link.  And if you felt like doing the same, I wouldn’t argue.

I think you’re right; more and more people just do twitter and facebook. I’ve been bad about blogging myself lately too. Like you said, whenever I have something interesting to blog about, I’m too busy to do it!

I completely agree with your post- and have to say that I’ve gotten just as lazy. I just don’t comment as much as I used to, so here I am, participating in the conversation. :) By the way, Link really is growing up! He’s such a cutie.

I find that comments come out of their hiding places with life-changing events like births, and then they drop off the face of the earth :) I still comment on people’s blogs because I figure if I like comments on my blog, I am sure they like comments on theirs. And yeah, some people aren’t blogging as much, but since my blog is my journal and because I print it once a year, it is the only way I have of documenting things that happen in our family…therefore I keep it up. I find I still “blog stalk” just as much as I used to because it keeps me awake during the late night feedings :) So how are you? How is the job? What’s new?

Michelle- you make me laugh!
